Formation with Verbs

Attach -는 중 directly to the stem of an action verb.

Verb stem ends in a vowel: 가다 (to go) → 가는 중

This is then followed by the verb 이다 (to be), which conjugates to -이야 (casual) or -이에요 (polite).

You can also attach -중 directly to certain nouns that imply an action, like 통화 (phone call) or 회의 (meeting).
