Words ending in ㄹ
Many common Korean verbs end with the ㄹ consonant, such as 살다 (to live), 알다 (to know), and 만들다 (to make).
Their behavior is special: the ㄹ sometimes stays and sometimes disappears, depending on the ending that attaches to it.
When ㄹ remains: -아요/-어요 and -(으)면
When attaching endings like -아요/-어요 or -(으)면 , the ㄹ remains.
For -(으)면 (if), words ending in ㄹ do not add 으. They simply attach -면 .

When ㄹ disappears: -(으)세요
When you attach polite request or honorific endings like -(으)세요 , the ㄹ drops completely.
After the ㄹ disappears, the stem now ends in a vowel, so you attach -세요 instead of -으세요.

Future tense: -(으)ㄹ 거예요
When expressing the future with -(으)ㄹ 거예요 , you do not add another ㄹ or 을.
Since the word already has an ㄹ at the bottom, you just add 거예요 directly.

Common Mistake: Do not write 살을 거예요. Because the ㄹ is already there, it is simply 살 거예요 .
