Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 August 2026Please read these terms carefully before using Talkori.
1. Introduction
Talkori, located at 113-32, Beonyeong-ro, Umsa-myeon, Gyeryong-si, Chungcheongnam-do, Republic of Korea, provides an online Korean learning service at talkori.com, including course scripts, audio, practice tools, and vocabulary features.
Business information: Representative: Juryong Kim; Business registration number: 598-36-01790; Phone: +82 42-525-2374; Email: support@talkori.com.
These Terms of Service apply when you browse our website as a guest, create a free account, or buy premium access. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service and plans
Talkori operates on an open-lesson model with three access tiers: Guest, Free Account, and Premium.
Guests can browse and access limited portions of lessons and features without creating an account. Free accounts gain full access to lesson scripts and higher daily limits for interactive features. The Premium plan provides full access to lesson scripts and unlimited use of the learning tools currently designated as Premium features, subject to these Terms and reasonable technical and security restrictions.
Plan limits are enforced automatically based on your daily usage. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, legal, or product reasons. Material changes to paid benefits will be communicated in advance where practicable.
3. Payments (Merchant of Record)
Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for Talkori Premium purchases. Paddle handles payment processing, receipts, applicable taxes, and the processing of payment-related refunds and disputes. Talkori handles account, product, and learning-service support, and coordinates eligible refund requests with Paddle.
Premium is purchased as a one-time payment for 12 months of access at the final price displayed at checkout. It is not a subscription, does not renew automatically, and does not create a recurring billing authorization. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply to the payment transaction.
4. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must be at least 14 years old to create a Talkori account. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age to enter into these Terms or use the service independently, that higher age applies.
Talkori currently does not provide a process for verifying parental or legal guardian consent. Users below the applicable minimum age may access publicly available learning content but may not create an account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes
- Probe, scan, or compromise the security or integrity of the platform
- Scrape, bulk-download, mirror, or redistribute course content outside the app
- Circumvent plan limits, entitlement checks, or access controls
- Share one account among multiple learners in a way that violates plan terms
6. Intellectual property
Except for public-domain source works and third-party materials identified as such, Talkori and its licensors own the platform, original course materials, adaptations, translations, recordings, illustrations, software, and trademarks. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access content for your own learning while your account is in good standing.
User-generated content you submit (such as study notes) remains yours; you grant Talkori a limited license to store, process, and display your notes to you solely as necessary to operate the service.
7. Disclaimer
Talkori is an educational tool. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, test scores, or uninterrupted availability. The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Talkori is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits arising from use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer protection law.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, unlawful activity, or a material violation of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms: support@talkori.com. Support and billing questions are also listed on our Support page.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law, or security requirements. Material changes will be announced through the service or by email before they take effect where reasonably practicable. Changes will not retroactively reduce rights already accrued under a completed purchase.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This choice does not deprive consumers of protections that cannot be excluded under the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
